We are a community-based receptive tourism agency representing a collective of 33 micro-entrepreneurs, both formal and informal, who promote sustainable community-based tourism in the village of Bar da Hora, located near the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park.

We operate under a B2B model, through strategic partnerships with various organizations that support and market our six authentic tour experiences, five locally owned accommodations, and five native-run restaurants.

In general, our work focuses on strengthening family and community ties, protecting the environment, and valuing the role of artisanal fishermen and fisherwomen in this small community, located near some of the main attractions of the Lençóis Maranhenses: the beaches of Caburé and Atins, the Mandacaru Lighthouse, and the mouth of the Preguiças River.

As active members of the Residents’ Association and the group of local tourism entrepreneurs, we seek to build connections and collaborations that make artisanal fishing and sustainable tourism complementary—two harmonious activities that foster social and economic justice within our territory.

Over more than a decade of engagement, we have contributed to the restructuring of the residents’ association, the creation of a community daycare social project, and the development of our Community Tourism Fund, which reinvests in the collective growth and well-being of the community.
