The bus journey takes between 4 to 5 hours. You can check schedules and buy tickets online through companies like Guanabara, Cisne Branco, ou Buson.
shared van
For a more economical and convenient option from your hotel or the airport, consider a shared van service. We recommend two options: Van do Flank and Van do Tigre.
We recommend making reservations well in advance, if possible, book your round-trip tickets.

Barreirinhas to Bar da Hora and Atins
Once you arrive in Barreirinhas, you can take a boat or a 4x4 transfer to Bar da Hora or Atins. It's important to book these services in advance, especially during high season when transportation can be scarce. Unless you're hiring a private service, all shared boats have specific departure times. It's also recommended to secure your round-trip transportation in advance, as last-minute arrangements can be costly and time-consuming. Boats depart from Avenida Beira-Rio, and 4x4 departure locations vary, so you will need to contact the provider to make arrangements.
Lanchas Privadas
You make your own schedule!
Private boat transport is a great alternative for larger groups of 6 to 10 people. You can arrange the departure time, hire it for other tours, and avoid the logistics of shared tours. We recommend the services of Jamerson, Alan, Douro and Manancial.
Shared Boat
The boats depart at 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM sharp.
The most economical boat transport option. However, during the high season, reservations should be made well in advance. It is recommended to purchase round-trip tickets. Remember that the Satur boat does not operate on Saturdays. For quality shared transport, choose Lancha Belíssima e Satur.
4X4 compartilhado
The local, overland alternative
The 4x4 transport is the most economical option. It passes through the villages of Mandacaru, Bar da Hora, and Atins. It is only available during the dry season. You can contact Caju or Nuca to reserve your spot on this adventure.
